Faces alight

Heat and moisture make a day
of summer, nothing much to say
watch the people walking by
with the questions in their eyes

dresses lifting in the wind
enough to make you dream up sins
coming up with nice white lies
past the questions in your eyes

     and then she's more than what she seemed
