Fall for you

I watch you in your window
see the horny men walk by
I will simply never know
why they don't all stop, oh why

     They do not all just fall for you
      like I always do
      'cause that is the simple truth
      I always fall for you
      old as I am
      you make me new

This is a strange world for me
a place with rhyme nor reason
where not all the men do see
you rule every season

         but they don't all etc.

They should just line up for you
grateful for your beauty
from which a little taste will do
to have their pain all soothed

     still they don't all etc.

Glimlach

Zij had een soort oervreemde glimlach
waarin je tijdloosheid kon zien
en soms ook het eind van alle vreugde.
Waarom zij lachte wist ze niet
en niemand had het kunnen raden
maar het moest zo zijn, zo was het
en het zou, godbetert, steeds zo blijven.
Wij willen alles, weten niets
en zij telt uren, dagen, jaren.
