Not born to lose

There's no must and there's no have to
we are here to learn to choose
as long as you ain't learned that lesson
you are surely born to lose

there's no if and there's no maybe
we are here to learn to choose
so learn to love your limitations
or you'll feel you're born to lose

     so much you can do without
     so much we don't need
     and you know what that's about
     once we've sown the seed
     so we can choose
     not to be born to lose

what you can't do is your future
we are here to learn to choose
what you know can be forgotten
then you won't be born to lose

you will love what you become and
you will find you'll learn to choose
ways of making love be present
so you won't feel born to lose
